With a bar made out of ice, and a hotel made out of ice, we’ve gone all the way with this material. But thing is, you never get to see how this is being done or builded. And what if you were in the backstage of the making of a Playstation Ice Sculpture ? Here what it would give in a couple of minutes. Absolutely Stunning. The whole thing was made by Glacial Art (Liverpool) for the need of the Play Everywhere event in Dublin.

His name is Yong Ho Ji and he’s Korean, graduated from the Hongik University (Seoul) in Sculptures & from the New York University with a master in Fine Arts in 2008. Today we’re presenting a selection of his best work featuring sculptures where animals, human or a mix of both are created out of used tires. An amazing work and a huge collection, considering that Yong Ho Ji is only 33 years old and that each sculptures takes a few months of work. The young artist was featured everywhere in the world, from NYC to Seoul, passing by Spain, UK, Germany or Japan. Here are some of his mind blowing sculptures & the rest can be seen on his website

Kai – Jerzy Goliszewski

“Men tend to build protective walls” Jerzy Goliszewski is talking here about metaphorical walls which he represented in his work by an actual wall named Kai. However Jerzy, created Kai with fractures and cuts to represent the small part of our interior we let people see. Jerzy Goliszewski is a Polish artist, you can check out his website

Noah’s Tree

Noah’s Tree is an art sculpture made by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac on a request from GDF Suez (French Gaz compagny). Noah’s Tree, made with neon, is also called “The Jedi’s Tree”, and is supposed to encourage people to subscribe to gaz bills on the internet. For each subscription, GDF Suez is going to put a copy of the user’s last bill on the tree, to represent the fact that a subscription makes you plant a new tree. Awesome idea by GDF Suez, and awesome sculpture by J-C de Castelbajac.

On the 5th of July, the tree will be removed from Place du Palais Royal (Paris), and will be sold by auctions. The fund will go to Unicef’s association. Thanks to Buzzman for the invit.
