Five & Dime is a restaurant/café in Singapore. The agency Bravo Company has reworked the entire design of the brand. They were inspired by a coin for the trademark logo that refers to the stores where everything is selling for 5 or 10 cents. Moreover, several products and goodies are sold in the restaurant. Cocotte is a French restaurant located in Singapor, in the Little India Neighborhood. So much cultures in one and only place and yet it’s not over. Cocotte is mostly about rustic ambiance and actual food. It’s about having a real kitchen and real people in front of you. Meals come in shareable platters & the ambiance makes you feel comfy. And of course, this philosophy had to pass by a good branding, and this time it’s signed from Foreign Policy Design, a Singapor Studio full of talented people. Check out their website

Aishti Campaign

While Aishti isn’t really famous when it comes to Europe or US, it’s one of the most known and recognized brand when it comes to luxury in the Middle East. Known for their family senses, even their campaign are “home made”. No agencies, but the brand’s own creative direction edited their latest campaigns. Under the art direction of Jessica Walsh, with Stefan Sagmeister on the Creative Direction & photographers such as Bela Borsodi & Henry Haargreaves, the campaign is a big hit, putting before anything else, and like coming out of nowhere the brilliance of the luxury feeling brought by the brand. Starbucks New Packaging

Starbucks announced a couple weeks ago their new branding to come and showed us the first pictures to their new logo. The change started spreading and yesterday they renewed the first shop ever opened in France (Opera, Paris). With these changes, comes the change of a packaging. The Bees Knees

The Bees Knees is a honey pot produced by Klein Constantia. The packaging of The Bees Knees was particularely taken care of in the hands of the design agency At Pace. The pot box represents a beehive that you open to see a bunch of bees flying around the pot giving you the sensation of having a fresh product. An amazing work.

Hot Cup Cold Spoon is a new midwest coffee house chain. Of course, the shops offer a whole variety of coffee, but produce also their own home made ice cream. And to promote their products, Hot Cup Cold Spoon asked for Drew Roper to create their branding and packaging. Under the “PrintSteady” Label, Drew created a design mixing vintage textures with a contemporary look giving the whole thing a quality franchise.

Tang New Design

Remember Tang ? You know, this old orange powder that you’d pour in a glass with some water and you’d have an orange juice. Well, a design studio called StrengDesign remembered this brand, and redesigned its famous packaging. Exit the old openable cup, and welcome a new plastic box, with a spoon integrated that lets you pour the wanted amounts for a perfect cup. They also designed a new way of actually drinking Tang with a straw that contains the powder needed for one cup. Brillant idea that Tang should have sold years ago.

It’s been a while since we talked about branding. And don’t worry, we’re going to talk more and more about it. Today we’ll be focusing on Monina Velarde‘s work for Lift Airlines. Clearly into graphic design, this american artist living in Chicago, goes from web-design to print without losing work quality. Proof is, the branding of Lift Airlines, that mixes cool a bit vintage colors and graphics with jokes and fun. Double thumbs up for the airplane bag.

Coca Cola Packaging

Coca Cola is a fascinating brand. Their identity and packaging didn’t really change in those last years and even though we presented a cool Coca Cola Concept Bottle made by Julien Muller, nothing changed. Today we’re presenting another project, coming straight from Tel-Aviv this time, This Sick Pack of Coca Cola is presented by Israelian designer Orly Peimer Rimon.

Even thought it’s just a concept, this Coca Packaging probably deserves to be taken a look it by the american brand. Made of Paper, the protection let’s you drink your coke, without having cold hands, and without needing a coaster to protect your table. Isn’t it cool ?
