Coarse Toys are back. After Glimpse of truth, 8 months ago, Noop and Paw! are back bringing their ultimate fight on stage in a first 7 inch serie. Released in a 200 limited edition and sold exclusively on the Coarse website, they will be available starting March 8th for 129$. The story this time is about the birth of those two characters. Mark Landwehr and Sven Wasch (the artists behind Coarse), decided to put on stage the moment Noop and Paw! came to life. A mix between an happy and an epic time for the toys.

Orange PaperQuest

To release its new product the Origami Style Credits, the french brand Orange went to the origami basics … Paper Toys. Creating a huge quest accross the web and the city using banners, press releases and street marketing. Mixing paper toys and Art toys, Orange asked 8 artists to create 13 Paperstoys based on the robot creation of Didier Boursin. Check Morris, Run, Cream, So-Me, Zhou, Dran, Andy Rementer, and Small & Paze replied with amazing creations you’ll see over the web and across the city in the few days to come. The campaign is in fact a game where collecting the 130 top collectors of paper toys will win cool gifts including a musical trip around europe. The simpsons x Kidrobot 2

Vinyl is back at The Simpsons factory with a new collaboration between Matt Groening and KidRobot. 25 new characters will be sold online and in retail stores, in the known blind boxes, including the Sombreros Simpsons and the Zombie Simpsons. Released on October 28th, Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, Maggy and all the Springfield characters will be sold for 10$ (USA) and 10€ (Europe) each . We love it. We hope you too.

Glimpse of truth – Coarse

Back to Chicago, Mark Landwehr and Sven Waschk presented their latest work for Coarse in an exhibition named Glimpse of truth and opened until August 8, 2010. The german artists’s latest work (Sculptures, Paintings and Photographies), shows us another side of their characters’s story. A story where Noop and Paw are false friends. This time it’s definitely clear. The exhbition is held at the Rotofugi Gallery (1955 W Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60622 ). Feel free to check out those amazing pieces of art, on a music composed only for the exhibition.

The Matryoshkas is a design project made by the ukranian designer Serhiy Chebotaryov. Serhiy made an 8bit edition of the traditionnal russian dolls, presenting them in pixels forms. We’re looking forward for an online shop to actually sell these art toys. More info on Chebotaryov’s website.

Jaws Loser – Coarse

After releasing the Noop and Paw duet on January 7th, Coarse will be selling the last piece of the Jaws serie on March 26th. This time, the jaw’s a loser, and will come in two colors. A 100 limited edition for the White jaw and only 50 for the blush one. They’re all signed and numbered and will be sold exclusively on Coarsehkg.com for 221 euros piece. (2300 HK$). Thumbs up for the vans noop is wearing.

Noop and Paw! – Coarse

The art toy brand Coarse just revealed their new collection called “False Friends”. They hate each other, but they will make believe the don’t just for this time. Who ? Pow! and Noop. Pow! The rabbit-slash-monkey and Noop the Human dressed as a rabbit. They will be released on January 7th 2010, and will be sold as a pack, for a 200 packs limited edition. Each pack is sold around 350€. Art Toys – Daft Punk

Two art toys in a week on Whitezine !! The first one was for Karl Lagerfeld sold 129 euros and made Toki Doki. This time it’s a little bit more expensive. It’s actually the duet Daft Punk who’s the subject of this little art toy made by Silly Thing in association with Medicom for 1800 Euros. It’s a Kubrick set in an edition limited for 100 copies.
