Cumulus Collectif is a young design studio based in Lyon, France. This collective of designers and developers specializes in motion design. Through demoreel or VJing, Cumulus Collective created the visual communication of several festivals (Nuits Sonores from Lyon) and companies such as Rue89 or Arte. The upcoming Super Bowl is probably the most followed event in the US with its flat screens, hot dogs & 100 Millions of americans watching it. & yet Bill Maher, wanted to show everyone how the Super bowl was an inside controversy with its system of redistributing the money to all teams equally (& even disadvantaging the last winners). Fraser Davidson created a 2 minutes animation around this audio sequence taken from Bill Maher’s book “The New New Rules: A Funny Look at How Everybody but Me Has Their Head Up Their Ass”. It mixes graphic design, typography and fun.

Proteigon is a short film edited by Burayan (aka Steven Briand). With the hands of Luca Fiore & the music of Nodey & Omar the 1.30 minute is absolutely bluffing. The video mixes three of the best arts that are stop motion technique, Paper Craft and Finger manipulations (well… Hands Manipulation here). The video will blow your mind. Looks like we can do some amazing stuff while interns and with nothing but paper.

With its 24 different books and so many stories, Tintin is one of the most sold characters of all time. And with its official movie being released in a couple of days with Steven Spielberg’s production, it gave some designers a good idea to produce their own promotionel asset for the movie. Ray Parker and Tom Szczesniak edited a motion design video featuring the 24 books and different characters of the story.

The french store Darty launched this week end their latest campaign for 2011. 45 Seconds of video including amazing graphics and great 3D animations. Made by H Agency (Havas), the campaign will take a 360 tour going from Web to social networks, passing by Print and of course by the traditionnal TV spot.
