    almaonwhitezine

Alma is an amazing video motion in 3D written and directed by Rodrigo Blaas. Alma is a small girl who will fall into a trap of a doll shop. She sees in a doll the reflexion of herself, and when she touches it … a surprising event will happen, but watch it for more. Amazing story with amazing graphics. That was both terrifying and wonderful.
Never trust a life-like doll. Highly suspect.

The shop window looks like a giant mouth. During the pan-back, you can even see nose and eyes.
Am I the only one that sees this?
It’s like the shop eats children…
        Very subtle and spectacularily executed!

I was right to destroy the marionette my Grandmother gave me as a child. It was spooky and I couldn’t sleep at night.

Wonderful animation! The kinda spooky feel of this reminds me of Tim Burton…

Oh my God! Where did you find this? This is definitely going up on my blog. It reminds me of those short films that Pixar used to put out.

This expains why American Girl Dolls are so expensive.
        Because they cost one child.

The music is so delightfully contrasting to the strange things actually happening. It makes creepy dolls not so scary. Also the reflection of Alma’s face in the window while looking at the doll for the frist time is great. Well, done. I don’t even like animated things!

The hat Alma wears is great – every part from the textured bottom edge to the little pom pom on top.
Is anyone out there a wiz at creating patterns? I’d like to knit/crochet one like it…
