It’s here, it’s named neither iSlate nor Mac Tablet, but simply iPad, continuing the iMac, iPod and iPhone serie. A mix between an iPod and a Mac, the iPad is pretty cool. Still a gadget, but a pretty cool one. It has fewer things then we expected, but it’s also a lot cheaper then we thought it would be. Starting at 499$, the iPad features a web browser, a mail reader, a photo, music (ipod) and video reader, a youtube application and of course a Contact book, calendar and a Notes application.

With a 16, 32 and 64 GB it will sure fit enough movies to be used as a movie reader, or photos to be used as a photo frame, and of course all your favourite music to spread it around your appartment. Another Good thing, is the cool iBook store (adding it then to the App Store and the itune store) which will let your read the books you want just like a kindle (Amazon product). However the ibook store lets you change the typography of what you’re reading and has colors of course.

It will be sold between 499$ for the 16Go version, 599$ for the 32Go and 699$ for the 64Go. You can add 130$ on each to have a 3G connection. The cool thing ? The iPad has a 10 hours battery autonomy, and can stay more than 30 days in a stand by mode. It will be available in 60 days, and 90 days for the 3G version.

Today is the day that Apple blessed us with the Apple iPad. Personally it’s exactly what I thought it’d be practically a modified iPhone, I’m actually gonna wait to pick an Apple iPad up. I want to see one with a USB, microphone, camera and multitasking before I’ll make the jump. I especially think that a microphone is the most important feature it is missing. What do you guys think?

Alors comme tout le monde je suis décu du manque cruel des fonctionnalité énoncé ci-dessus par Jessi. Maintenant si on s’interesse au stle et au design, c’est une réussite. La machine est belle, les applications ont été complètement revisité pour satisfaire la nouvelle résolution de la machine, non c’est une belle réussite d’un point de vue visuel.
D’un point de vue technique et ergonomique, je suis beaucoup plus réservé …

L’objet est beau a du style et tout, mais encore faut-il en avoir besoin ?! J’ai l’impression de revivre la sortie de l’Iphone (en moins revolutionaire hein ^^), c’est prometteur mais pour l’instant c’est incomplet, reste à attendre quelques mois qu’une v2 sorte corrigeant en partie les failles et manques de cette tablette.
Bref j’ai surtout l’impression qu’apple vient de créer un besoin, ni plus ni moins

The ipad is so fantastic. I’ve already talked with my wife about my next birthday present. I commute a great deal (mostly plane as well as train) and so this could be a amazing unit for catching up on reading as well as emails and of course, also those movies from this past year that i meant to watch.

Les dimensions c quoi ? Ca peut remplacer un ordi pour regarder un film dans l’avion, n’est ce pas ? Ca peut aussi servir de disque dur pour décharger lors d’un voyage sans avoir à emporter son mac book ? Perso à voir en vrai mais ça me dit bien moi.

Non je ne pense pas qu’il y a un besoin à créer, il est deja là , mais ce n’est pas le notre. Je m’explique :
Ma mère elle a besoin d’aller sur internet, de regarder ses mails, écouter de la musique, regarder des videos mais comme çà, sur le pouce, sinon elle à sa télé full hd immense. Elle veut aussi pouvoir regarder les photos qu’elle a pris avec son APN et les partager. Le tout de manière TRESTRESTRES simple et SECURISE.
Et là, bam ! l’ iPad réponds à tout ses besoins : simplicité, mobilité, sécurité, confort d’utilisation. Et en plus elle peut télécharger des ebook pour faire la cuisine.
non je pense qu’il y a un réel besoin et une réelle demande derrière ce produit, un peu cette génération quinqua qui peut se permettre de s’acheter ce genre de matériel et qui n’est pas trop branché ordi, du moins pas assez pour avoir à faire à un système d’exploitation complet.

Effectivement, c’est vrai que c’est plus confortable à la lecture, mais ça handicape aussi
-Impossible de changer les polices
-Impossible d’agrandir le texte
-Impossible d’insérer des images en couleurs (je ne suis pas sur mais il me semnle ! )
Bref. Ce n’est pas tout à fait la même chose, mais c’est comparable !

Alot of bloggers not really happy with this new iPad.There was too much hoopla regarding it and alot blogers got turned off.Thing is, I can actually see lots of the cool potential of the gadget. Third-party soft for working with music, games, newspapers and magazines and FFS books, all sorts of neat stuff, but IMHO they just didn’t really sell it properly (aside from the books). It looks sort of not finished
